About this artwork
Original oil painting inspired by memories of Cornish seascapes and the ships drifting on the water. I love the motive of ships as they always know where they are going. Setting goals is similar to keep us going. Warm colours and lovely texture make it modern but with an older feel. Ready to go on the wall. It doesn't require a frame however I used a black floating frame to show it off even more.

« It feels like the passion for creation was waiting to be released and I have started my journey to find myself again. »
The places that Anna Schofield visits live long in her memory until she is ready to bring them back to life on canvas through her own interpretation. The UK-based artist loves traveling and documenting seascapes, skies, harbors, trees, and flowers. Schofield begins a piece by creating a ‘suggestion of the mark’ using acrylics, gesso, or polyfilla. She then covers the canvas with many layers of oil paint until the final result is achieved.
