Original oil painting inspired by visits to harbours and love to history. This is a rather dramatic piece however it can have a symbolic meaning.
Thick, lovely creamy oils allowed me to achieve interesting shades and interesting texture. This is a thick canvas. The edged are painted and there is no need for a frame. The hanging system will be installed on the back.

The places that Anna Schofield visits live long in her memory until she is ready to bring them back to life on canvas through her own interpretation. The UK-based artist loves traveling and documenting seascapes, skies, harbors, trees, and flowers. Schofield begins a piece by creating a ‘suggestion of the mark’ using acrylics, gesso, or polyfilla. She then covers the canvas with many layers of oil paint until the final result is achieved.
