About this artwork
Original oil painting with a fabulous texture and lovely transparent layers created over a long period of two years. Inspired by memories of some dramatic coastline seen in Tenerfie and Lands End most of all. It could be ab abstract, landscape or a seascape. I truly believe this piece could be a statement piece to any room. The edges have been painted, however if you are interested in a floating frame, please contact me for more details.

The places that Anna Schofield visits live long in her memory until she is ready to bring them back to life on canvas through her own interpretation. The UK-based artist loves traveling and documenting seascapes, skies, harbors, trees, and flowers. Schofield begins a piece by creating a ‘suggestion of the mark’ using acrylics, gesso, or polyfilla. She then covers the canvas with many layers of oil paint until the final result is achieved.
