About this artwork
Original oil painting inspired by memories of boats seen in different harbours presented in a contemporary way. The colour palette is rather dramatic but very interesting and work in any home. Perfect as a gift for anybody. The edges of the painting are painted hence there is no need for a frame. The hanging system is installed on the back so it is ready to go on the wall.

« It feels like the passion for creation was waiting to be released and I have started my journey to find myself again. »
The places that Anna Schofield visits live long in her memory until she is ready to bring them back to life on canvas through her own interpretation. The UK-based artist loves traveling and documenting seascapes, skies, harbors, trees, and flowers. Schofield begins a piece by creating a ‘suggestion of the mark’ using acrylics, gesso, or polyfilla. She then covers the canvas with many layers of oil paint until the final result is achieved.
