About this artwork
Original oil painting inspired by a stunning sunset seen from a ship near Guyana. The clouds have been highlighed with more texture to create a lovely composition. This piece was challenging but very rewarding in the same time. I think it looks brilliant with a white frame however it can be hang just on its own as the edges are painted as well. The painting comes with the certificate and the hanging system applied to the back. If you are interested…

« It feels like the passion for creation was waiting to be released and I have started my journey to find myself again. »
The places that Anna Schofield visits live long in her memory until she is ready to bring them back to life on canvas through her own interpretation. The UK-based artist loves traveling and documenting seascapes, skies, harbors, trees, and flowers. Schofield begins a piece by creating a ‘suggestion of the mark’ using acrylics, gesso, or polyfilla. She then covers the canvas with many layers of oil paint until the final result is achieved.
