About this artwork
The face is calm and grounded, but the colors flowing through the hair represent thoughts, emotions, memories, and sensations that never truly stand still. They move gently, freely, without needing… to be explained. For me, these colors are not chaos — they are life in motion.
This work is about softness and strength existing together. About allowing emotions to pass through you without resistance. It is an invitation to slow down, to feel rather than think, and to trust the quiet currents that guide us from within.

I am Anna Tasheva.
I was born in Ukraine and now live in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Yet one of the most defining chapters of my life began when I moved alone to the United States. In a new country, surrounded by unfamiliar faces, language, and culture, I experienced loneliness, uncertainty, and the quiet challenge of starting over.
During that time, I picked up a paintbrush—not because I dreamed of becoming an artist, but because I needed a place where I could breathe. Painting became my refuge. It helped me process emotions that words could not express and reminded me that even in the most unfamiliar places, it is possible to create something beautiful. Over time, I realized that art was no longer simply something I enjoyed—it had become an inseparable part of who I am.
