Abstraction
From personal photographs of the city of Thônes a series of sketches was made with the intention of counting, to the limit of abstraction
Arriving at this limit, the composition work is particularly attached to play on lines and materials, with the protective varnish, directly on the metal plate.
Then, it is the "bath" in strong water (hydrochloric acid), which attacks the metal where there is no protective varnish. This creates… the roughness that inking and going through the press are capable of revealing
The nine plates produced constitute an elevation path.

Anne Bidaut is a multidisciplinary artist based in France whose works have been exhibited nationally. The themes she addresses through multiple series are all tied with the concept of the link. Each of Bidaut's compositions corresponds with a lived experience.
