About this artwork
I was inspired to paint Echoes after a stroke.. During the stroke I had developed weakness on my right side. I was extremely dizzy with a headaches. I really got scared, when I thought I was losing my voice.
Everything and everyone in this posess that helped get me get well were wonderful and I recognized the true star is my brain.

Influenced by her background as a figure skater, Anne Hurst paints vibrantly, utilizing an intuitive, abstract style. Her personal technique embodies thoughtfully planned color schemes and compositions, which, once started, consume her wholly into dynamic renditions. Through vivid shapes, colors, and symbols, she coaxes emotions from the subconscious, revealing cherished memories and déjà vu to her audience.
