About this artwork
Between the figurative and the abstract, the same figure is treated differently. The first, deconstructed, is composed of filaments of paint and broad brushstrokes, depositing a layer of paint of varying thickness depending on the area. Sometimes the work done previously underneath shows through; sometimes the compact layer, as on the face, creates an atmosphere of mystery. The second figure is very different, consisting simply of a layer of white… acrylic, yet it seems to observe us attentively. Unlike the first, its background is more elaborately worked.
It is a celebration of duality, complementarity, our two sides, yin and yang.
This colorful and modern painting will capture attention in your interior.
A multi-disciplinary artist, Anne is curious by nature. She explores various artistic techniques ranging from working with rakes, ink, window scrapers, paint dripping and mounting relief paintings in the form of sculptures, to plaster and cement. She works on canvas or paper, combining Posca with acrylic paint, which she applies in transparent washes, allowing the lines of the felt pen to show through. She has exhibited at the Salon d'Automne at the Grand Palais in Paris, in various contemporary art fairs but also in Spain, in the Netherlands and at the Tsukuba Museum of Art in Tokyo.
