About this artwork
In crafting this mosaic, I employed cement and ceramics to portray a figurative and realistic subject. Through the meticulous arrangement of each tile, I've captured a poignant human expression, manifesting themes of contemplation and introspection. The rich, varied textures and color palette infuse any space with depth and warmth, while the subject brings a conversation and an energy of quiet reflection . The mosaic artwork is not just seen; it's…
felt, urging viewers to pause and connect deeply with the emotions it conveys.

Anne Oshman, self-taught in tiles, glass, and smalti, finds herself absorbed in mosaic craftsmanship. Infusing stories into compositions, she emphasizes unnoticed yet meaningful micro details. Through intimate perspectives, her works convey tales of commonplace 21st-century behaviors, unsettlingly familiar yet compellingly contemplative.
