About this artwork
In this piece, I used micro mosaic (3/8") ceramic tile and swarovski crystals to create a mosaic that depicts a woman soldier, forever injured, yet forever a woman, stepping boldly forward. Every piece smaller than the 3/8" square is hand cut by me. Each tesserae is thoughtfully and methodically placed so as to create a fluid image. Walking the Walk symbolizes the journey of life and the individual paths we each lead. I meticulously assembled each…
