About this artwork
The entire canvas is a deep dark blue, a mix of indigo and Prussian blue. The universe is the basis of the image. The dancing girl is hidden in the center of that blue image. In her dress she carries the Andromeda Galaxy. Throughout the image we see 'thinking threads' or 'dendrites'. I have made the 'electricity' of thinking visible on the dendrites.
The universe, the girl and the dendrites are the elements in the image. In addition, there are elements… ón the image. Above left the Hindu god Ganesha: not only protector of the traveler who goes through the world, but also for the traveler who undertakes the inner journey. At the top right in red, the Sanskrit sign that stands for 'Ohm', or the sound with which the universe began. A kind of big bang, but different. At the bottom, just a little to the right of the center, again in red, a molecular model according to the state of science in 1914. Finally, at the bottom right the signature, also in red.
