About this artwork
The connection across time, space and generations is light and gripping at the same time. This painting uses encaustic beeswax, ink and pigment with earth tones, and layers of texture to convey the mystery and presence of lineage, whether we know it or not. Anne Wright is an artist based in Canada whose paintings have been featured in solo and group exhibitions nationally. Through her art, she investigates the invisible behind what is visible, the waxing and waning, as well as the collision and confusion that underlie what is apparent.
