About this artwork
Painted during the 2020 Pandemic Times, this piece is one of a series inspired by mushrooms and fungal "world wide web" beneath our feet. Mushrooms give hope for the future, as they convey enzymes to enable trees and other flora to support one another, adapt, and create antibodies against predators. They are endless networks of communion beneath our feet. And, they can convert petrochemicals and plastic into soil. Hope for the future.

« I am fascinated with change and metamorphosis. »
Anne Wright is an artist based in Canada whose paintings have been featured in solo and group exhibitions nationally. Through her art, she investigates the invisible behind what is visible, the waxing and waning, as well as the collision and confusion that underlie what is apparent. Wright's lyrically expressive compositions are created with organic impressions and textures, with subtle gradations of analogous color.
