About this artwork
Mushrooms pop up here and there in the autumn woods... and the magical thing about them for me are the underground connections they draw from. They are the "underground internet of the wild". They support ecosystems to trade information and vaccines and remedies to withstand threats. They are also greatt transformers. Some species are able to turn plastics into soil. I honour them.

« I am fascinated with change and metamorphosis. »
Anne Wright is an artist based in Canada whose paintings have been featured in solo and group exhibitions nationally. Through her art, she investigates the invisible behind what is visible, the waxing and waning, as well as the collision and confusion that underlie what is apparent. Wright's lyrically expressive compositions are created with organic impressions and textures, with subtle gradations of analogous color.
