About this artwork
Orange drip, as the name suggests, is color that has been thrown onto the screen. Here the picture called for Quinacridone Nickel and Indian Yellow. They are very powerful colors that communicate with a poured, more fluid white. For me it seems like a meditation, a pictorial language known from the Asian region, the Buddhist Zen painting, or ink painting. I paint with acrylic, special gels and painting materials that allow durability on the acrylic glass, as well as with ink, pigments, charcoal, pencil and oil sticks. I color and glue paper, remove it again, I grind the acrylic glass and thereby provoke refractions of light that act like accents.
