About this artwork
This piece was created after my daughter's birthday. There were so many flowers there, and they inspired me to create this painting. A bouquet of flowers in black? The black coloring and the bold strokes are surprising, since a flower is such a delicate creation. It's precisely this contrast that compels you to look. Yes, that was once... that was the starting point. Now the painting wanted to change, to white. The black still speaks in the background,… but it no longer dominates. The colors of the blossoms stand out subtly and delicately against the prevailing white. Is a painting ever truly finished? As long as the painter enjoys it, you never know what might happen :-)).
For as long as Annett Pfister can remember, pen and brush have been her constant companions. After attending secondary school with a focus on design, she trained as a primary school teacher and later as a teacher of textile design. She attended various courses and workshops at the School of Design and with artists themselves. She regularly participates in competitions, which leads to exhibition opportunities in the region and throughout Switzerland. Annette Pfister uses acrylic paints, pastels and oil pastels, collages, and embroidery, drawing on her experience as a textile design teacher. She combines expressive painting, drawing, and impressionistic techniques, focusing on patterns, repetitions, and layering. Her art invites viewers on visual journeys, conveying a profound joy and a sense of comforting security through vibrant colors and delicate details.
