About this artwork
This piece (and it's sister "Buy") are reflective of being completely fed up with the status quo and wanting out. The figure in this drawing has left whatever reality she was in and now, faced toward the unknown, has only herself and a hotel key. Whatever it is she left behind is gone and her future is ready to be made. The paper it is made from is a vintage book entitles "Girl for a Millionaire".

« There is great beauty to be found; sometimes you have to go through the detritus to find it. »
Even after becoming an artist, Annie Terrazzo still feels more like a composer, poet, and sometimes, a medium to the spirits, when making her pieces. The American painter loves working with found objects, comparing them to creating an 'epic puzzle'. Through the two worlds of paper and vintage frames, Terrazzo paints images of people and places with pencils and pastels.
