About this artwork
The painting was created by layering colors one on top of the other. Initially applied with a brush, the strokes were eventually applied with a finger. Then the whole thing was brushed to reveal the luminous layers of color hidden beneath. The series of small trees was painted at the very last moment, as if to remind us that the painting is not entirely abstract and that nature still has its say!
