About this artwork
“Interference III” is a visual field of tension in which the clash of energies
does not lead to destruction, but to creation.
A strip of cool sky lies above the blazing earth.
Blue and turquoise stretch like a quiet sea beneath the surface,
while the red pulsates in the middle – eruptive, rhythmic, almost breathing.
Between these zones, fragments flicker in green, white, and orange.
they remind us of transitions, of the breaking up of layers,…
to interference that does not disturb but amplifies.
An inner topography. A place where opposites don't contradict each other, but rather challenge each other. Where movement becomes visible as structure.
Anselm Homey, originally an interior designer, works as a self-taught painter using acrylic and oil paints, as well as one-line drawings on handmade paper. He creates abstract visual worlds in which layering, reflection, and texture merge into multifaceted compositions, complemented by poetic, reduced linework in his drawings. His works invite the viewer to delve deeply into inner landscapes, concealing longing, memory, and transformation, and convey a quiet, contemplative emotional resonance.
