About this artwork
In this piece, I explore the haunting silence of solitude through abstraction and expressionism, using acrylic and plexiglass to create depth and texture. The stark contrasts and geometric shapes evoke a sense of isolation and contemplation, inviting viewers into a quiet, introspective moment and place. This artwork brings a powerful, reflective energy to any space, encouraging thought and emotional connection.

Anton Kaestner, a Swiss-born painter and sculptor based in Paris, works primarily with acrylics, metallic pigments, and sprays on the reverse of recycled plexiglass, informed by a lifetime of travel and creative heritage. Her technique draws from lyrical abstraction and abstract expressionism, embracing randomness on fragile, glossy surfaces where mirrored effects and luminous layers emerge only at completion. Her art radiates a sense of wonder, introspection, and spiritual curiosity—inviting viewers into silent spaces of light and reflection, where beauty is truth and existence is both questioned and celebrated.
