About this artwork
In this painting, which I called "And I Come to Look for You," the human face becomes matter in transformation. The figures merge and intersect like stages of a single inner quest: a journey toward something deeper, where, as one searches, one changes.
The closed eyes and suspended postures evoke a state of intimate and spiritual listening. The hands hold, guide, and seek a connection that transcends the body.
The brushstrokes are fluid: the… colors blend and dissolve, releasing energy rather than description. I painted the background with gold paint, seeking to amplify the spiritual dimension of the work, transforming light into presence and rendering the space timeless.
The painting already has a frame, which I made by hand, a unique piece that dialogues with the work and extends its material and symbolic value.
A work that speaks of transformation, research, and striving toward something that is vertical and that surpasses us.
