About this artwork
During lunch my gaze was captured, overwhelmingly, at the basket that was on the lower shelf of the kitchen cabinet, on that occasion filled with freshly picked oranges. As soon as lunch was finished, I started painting it, hoping to be able to convey the same sensations. One of the few paintings that amused me.

Antonio De Nardis is a painter and draftsman based in Italy whose works have been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions nationally. He describes the only central theme marked in his works as being the "reality of things", filtered and shaped by the truth, as well as the reality of the countless states of consciousness and sensations. In essence, De Nardis' bold compositions portray reality as it does not appear.
