About this artwork
Painting made shortly after the death of my mother, very personal but, at the same time, universal.
Everyone, after a loss, needs to "reset" their existence. In short, clarifying relationships, creating what is after.
My personal path could only include painting as a means of elaborating and clarifying. Through this painting I relive the last moments,
perhaps this is what makes him hostile to me. An obstacle to the search for serenity, I have… thought a lot about selling it but I think it is right.
The painting is made on recycled material, linen canvas glued on
pressed cardboard, subsequently glued on a more rigid board of fir plywood with a thickness of 10 millimeters.

« Everything is worthy of attention, everything is "sacred", like the breath, the silence, but also the cries of human pain. »
Antonio De Nardis is a painter and draftsman based in Italy whose works have been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions nationally. He describes the only central theme marked in his works as being the "reality of things", filtered and shaped by the truth, as well as the reality of the countless states of consciousness and sensations. In essence, De Nardis' bold compositions portray reality as it does not appear.
