About this artwork
Minos, like Charon, Cerberus, Geryon, Phlegias and Pluto, is one of the pagan demons
passed into Dante's Christian hell and then placed as guardians of the various circles, afterwards
having been transformed into demonic beings on the trail of figural interpretation
of the Fathers of the Church, thus concluding the process of assimilation of culture
classical, which began from the origins of Christianity.
Minos is found at the entrance of circle… II because the souls of Limbo (Circle I) have no sins to confess and are not judged. Because basically we are all judges.

« Everything is worthy of attention, everything is "sacred", like the breath, the silence, but also the cries of human pain. »
Antonio De Nardis is a painter and draftsman based in Italy whose works have been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions nationally. He describes the only central theme marked in his works as being the "reality of things", filtered and shaped by the truth, as well as the reality of the countless states of consciousness and sensations. In essence, De Nardis' bold compositions portray reality as it does not appear.
