About this artwork
In creating this work, I wanted to explore the fusion between realism and abstraction. Using oil and wax, I created a dynamic of bright colors and textures that capture the emotional essence of industrial scenarios, placing them in an almost dreamy vision. Each panel, although distinct, dialogues harmoniously with the others, evoking a reflection on our relationship with the environment and modernity. This triptych brings energy and depth to any… space, inviting the observer to lose their gaze among the nuances of a reinterpreted reality. The «Elba Triptych» is mounted on a matte white frame with a 1 cm. light and a depth of 3.5 cm.
Antonio Ortolani, trained at NABA in Milan, expresses himself through oil painting with symbolist and surrealist influences. He develops an intriguing contrast between industrial architectural realism and nature, adding ancient fabrics and beeswax for a unique texture. With strong reference to poetic and philosophical texts, his works evoke the emotions of an almost forgotten era, exploring the duality between humility and pride.
