During a live painting performance near Bastille, Aparicio paints well known cabaret performer Maud d'Amour. The event is held in a raucous and colourful environment where the visitors mingle with the performers during the event.

Watching his mother scribble while talking on the phone sparked Kozuch’s initial interest in gestural calligraphy. Working as a painter ever since he bought a one-way ticket to Paris at the end of university, he adapts influences from Cubism to Surrealism to Impressionistic form to create striking markings and vivid colours.
