About this artwork
In this work I wanted to capture the vibrance of pop art with the depth of oil and the texture of felt. It evokes the duality of existence, the timelessness of emotions. As long as we do not know precisely what happened, we will be tempted to bring in forces from elsewhere who would have given us a big boost. If we currently have an official history, that of men and their biological evolution, (Darwing, naturalist, 1809/1882) as well as historical and religious, we are still searching through new technologies.

Arly Auclair is an award-winning visual artist, who has exhibited her works nationally, as well as in Spain, Mexico, Monaco, Germany, and Canada. Her compositions confront the realities of the world. Auclair satiates her curiosity through the exploration of varying themes which include the human form, urban and industrial heritage, memento mori, and societal questions. Her narrative and free figurative pieces are created using acrylics, oils, felt, and collage on cardboard, paper, linen, or canvas.
