About this artwork
In this work, I wanted to capture the burning vitality and resilient spirit of the human soul. Using expressionism to translate deep emotions, I chose oil for its richness and its ability to layer feelings like touches of color. The figure emerges, almost tangible, rising in a dance of fiery hues that warm the space, inviting the viewer to delve into a universe where passion and strength emanate from every brushstroke.
This evening
the Andalusians…
in their black hair
have planted
a comb of golden scales
and the scrolls
of their flowered dresses
agree
with their big black shawl
with red fringes
and with a single blow of the fan
make a heart alive

« As a true intermediary between the outside world and my own resonance, I restore my own questioning. If the spirit reasons, the artist resounds, it has its own language. »
