About this artwork
The Wishing Tree stands in India at Sai Baba's ashram in Puttaparthie (near Bengalore). Sai Baba is revered by Indians as a reincarnation of the divine. In 2011, I visited the ashram to experience Sai Baba's energy firsthand. Locals attach their wishes, written on slips of paper, to the Wishing Tree, hoping that Sai Baba will grant them.
