About this artwork
The bull ringing Garlan d'en Bosc is represented during a clash with the raseteurs in the arena of Mauguio. These Camargue races are a tradition that dates back to the Middle Ages. The pompom and some strings have already been torn off. These attributes attached to the browband and horns give the right to a bonus. The medallion portrait is made from a photograph kindly transmitted by Véronique Doucet, while the bull is in the middle of its fight.
