About this artwork
The Olympian sailboat is a William Gardner design built on the Great Lakes at the Chantier Mc Clure in 1913. This P class is a horn cutter, without bowsprit or boom. Acquired and restored by Bruno Troublé, it is at the Société Nautique de Marseille and is illustrated in many regattas. Seen here under light-weather port tack.

« What's the point of trying to reinvent images when those around us are so beautiful, and all we have to do is reproduce them as faithfully as possible. »
Arnaud Feuga is an artist based in France whose works have been exhibited nationally and in the United States. With a background as a marine biology researcher, naturally, his favorite themes relate to the sea. However, Feuga also creates distinctive and realistic figurative compositions which include portraits and cinema-inspired pieces. He paints exclusively using oils on canvas.
