About this artwork
This painting marks a new stage in the "New Directions" series, in which I seek to develop my pictorial style. The idea is to develop a technique different from the one I usually use, with paper mixed with acrylic. Here there is only paint and a little ash. I used brushes of different sizes, which I hadn't really done in a long time. They allow me to mark a dynamic in the keys and remain visible in the painting, which has a fairly raw and spontaneous… rendering. The inspiration is that of returning to the workshop after a few weeks of stupidity and amazement linked to confinement.
« My artistic reflection rests on the study of the relationship between man and nature, as well as the exploration of one's own unconscious. »
