About this artwork
Formation of large cutter-type yachts sailing towards an island. In these games of mist and light, the sea merges with the first reliefs forming a fantastic landscape. The sails sticking out of the sea like arrows are the final touch bringing context, depth and scale in an almost abstract universe. Several main directions collide: those of speed with the axes formed by the drag of the boats and that of light falling vertically between the rocks.

« Art is our clumsy way of trying to reach our strongest aspirations. As long as we dare to create, we keep getting closer. »
Arnaud Martin is an artist based in France whose paintings have been exhibited nationally. In addition, his art has been featured in publications such as THE FLYING FRUIT BOWL. For Martin, art is the reification of his ideal of infinity. In his distinctive compositions, he endeavors to "create intensity and to freeze it". He primarily employs watercolors and India ink on paper.
