I've painted this artwork under the impression of this warm sunny summer. I like sailing and swimming, so this artwork is painted with dark , contrast colors. Impressionism, realism and expressionism are joined. Yellow, orange, red, violet, green, blue, white and purple are on this painting but the most important is blue. Summer is pretty good to show brightness and contrast in oil painting. Yacht, or… sailboat is passing by and bringing emotions. The sea and the sky are connected through the light and fog a bit.
I was inspired by works of James Abbott McNeill Whistler and Claude Monet.

Artem Brazhnik is a painter from Ukraine who has exhibited nationally. He drew often as a child and after his father saw one of his, he exclaimed that he was an artist, which he has remained ever since. Brazhnik’s works mainly feature landscapes, favoring impressionism as his favorite technique for plein air painting. He prefers to create using oils on canvas.
