About this artwork
This abstract is an exploration of relationship between color and texture. Patches of bright red and gold fight for attention with a light foreground. I have layered the colors with a palette knife, adding depth to the artwork and textural variation that changes with change of viewing point. Copper and gold shimmer with light, but otherwise stay hidden in between the layers of beige and white.
The painting has been done on a 3/4 stretched canvas,… signed at the back. The side are white. It will come varnished and ready to hang with a hanging hook attached; with a certificate of authenticity signed by myself.

Arti Chauhan is an Indian painter based in Britain, whose lifelong passion for drawing resulted in a career in illustration and animation before evolving into a full-time future in visual art. Inspired by the colour and spirit of the vibrant village she grew up in on the foothills of the Himalayas, she composes portraits and figurative drawings full of interesting characters, each acting as a reflection of life that surrounds her.
