About this artwork
One thing I love about England is its sea and skies. It's a joy watching clouds flitting across the bright blue skies in summer. Evenings are even more beautiful, with hundreds of shades filling up the horizon. Who doesn't love an evening watching the waves change color as the sun goes down. The painting is a little mix of purple, blue and peachy blush; my impression of a calm, beautiful evening.

Arti Chauhan is an Indian painter based in Britain, whose lifelong passion for drawing resulted in a career in illustration and animation before evolving into a full-time future in visual art. Inspired by the colour and spirit of the vibrant village she grew up in on the foothills of the Himalayas, she composes portraits and figurative drawings full of interesting characters, each acting as a reflection of life that surrounds her.
