About this artwork
“Ishwara-Shakti is not exactly the same as Purusha-Prakriti; for Purusha and Prakriti are separate powers, but Ishwara and Shakti contain each other. Ishwara is Purusha who contains Prakriti and rules by the power of the Shakti within him. Shakti is Prakriti animated by Purusha and acts by the will of Ishwara who is her own will and whose presence in her movement she always carries with her. The realization of Purusha-Prakriti is of the first use… to the seeker on the Path of Works; for it is the separation of the conscious being from the Energy and the subjection of the being to the mechanism of the Energy which is the efficient cause of our ignorance and imperfection; by this realization the being can free itself from the mechanical action of nature and become free and attain a first spiritual control over nature. Ishwara-Shakti supports the Purusha-Prakriti relationship and its ignorant action and converts it into an evolutionary purpose.

Arturo Prins is an exciting Spanish artist whose style comes from a sensibility of play, discipline, freedom and rebellion, redoubled in a constant reinvention of himself. Thematically, Prins looks to delve into metaphysics, symbolism, esoteric cosmogony, while mixing in humor to soften the transcendent themes in his work. He also describes his work as being "nostalgic for the future, sometimes with a nod to the eclectic spiritualism between East and West."
