About this artwork
In the latter Adam Kadmon is the Sephirothal Tree, as it is also the “Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.” And this Tree, says verse 32, “has about it seven pillars” or palaces of the seven creator Angels, operating in the Spheres of the seven Planets upon our Globe. As Adam Kadmon is a collective name, so is the name of Adam the man. This represents the same idea as the Sephirothal Tree, ten in all, but yet leaving only seven when separated… from its upper triad.
Adam Kadmon is the tree of the Sephiroth, and the one that becomes the “tree of knowledge of good and evil” esoterically. And that “tree has around it seven
columns (seven pillars) of the world, or Rectors (again the same Progenitors or Sephiroth), operating through the respective orders of Angels, in the spheres of
the seven planets”,
« I wanted to be a pilot, but I ended up painting. Now I fly higher. »
Arturo Prins is an exciting Spanish artist whose style comes from a sensibility of play, discipline, freedom and rebellion, redoubled in a constant reinvention of himself. Thematically, Prins looks to delve into metaphysics, symbolism, esoteric cosmogony, while mixing in humor to soften the transcendent themes in his work. He also describes his work as being "nostalgic for the future, sometimes with a nod to the eclectic spiritualism between East and West."
