About this artwork
From the series Caraduras.
They are as they appear, I see their faces, their eyes, and that's how they come out. Generally they are touched, characters a bit 'fucked up', or screaming.
They are as if they had been existential failures, asking for a chance to revive humanly on these rocks, to get out of these inert pebbles, they shout at me everywhere, "Hey, get me out!"
I see two little dots, in parallel, they always walk around and come to… light. and then a mouth, which is always like screaming, open.
The profiles of the stones here drawn with human faces are born from this Cretan beach. I know that the stones of these beaches are loaded with magnetism, and that one day these individual forms of life will have a face and a character. The mineral kingdom is as alive as the plants and minerals. Gold, uranium, tectonic plates, sand and stones live in constant mutation, they move like men, they even radiate with danger.
