In my work, I energetically combine acrylic and resin to create an abstract composition that exudes depth and movement. Arvid Boecker is an award-winning German painter who has exhibited extensively in Germany, as well as in the United Kingdom, France, Austria, Thailand, the United States, India and China. For Boecker, each painting precedes then follows another, as if he has been creating one picture for over three decades. Working in the medium of oils, he applies over 40 layers of paint to each canvas. Over the course of several days, he removes it, kneads it, then reapplies.
