« I was 35 years old before discovering I had a twin sister living half a world away. I paint to share our story of longing, reconnection, and compensating for lost time. »
ASIZA is a Romanian painter based in Canada whose works have been exhibited nationally. Her paintings are inspired by her intensely personal and heart-breaking experience of being separated from her twin sister for forty-seven years. Since their meeting and reunion in 2014, ASIZA describes her artistic expression as has having evolved, featuring bolder layers of color and texture.
