About this artwork
As a painter, Oudheusden never stops looking for scenes to put on stage. She uses her interest in theater and psychology to transform people she saw in passing into a set. A couple at a table will tell a silent story about the hardship of life or love. What interests Oudheusden most is how little we need to say a lot.
This painting is ready to hang, signed and dated on the back and made with the best materials.

« I observe people and dogs. Life seems pretty difficult for many, so I focus on daily life to give hope, insight, and the feeling that there are people who care. »
Had she not become a painter, Astrid Oudheusden would have been a psychologist, as human interaction and human beings fascinate her to no end. The award-winning painter, who resides in the Netherlands, feels that there is no limit to what can be accomplished on canvas or paper. Oudheusden employs acrylics, gouache, watercolors, markers, charcoal, collage, and pencils - whatever material that allows her to make fluid movements when creating.
