About this artwork
The dry stone walls of Manfredonia, Gargano National Park, Puglia, Italy are some of the most beautiful man made things I have seen. They will stand the test of time, and yet they serve the purpose of growing the most ancient and beautiful olive trees. The unmistakable landscape is characterised by the color of the ground and a pristine nature, rich in unique scents and sensations.

« I always try to add a bit of poetry and lyricism into my work. My romantic soul is what does the creating, it sets the path. »
Attila Vencel is an artist based in Czechia whose works endeavor to capture "the game of light and shadow", as well as fleeting moments and moods. He describes one of the most important aspects of his artistic practice as imbuing his art with both poetry and lyricism. In his impressionist influenced pieces, the central themes are landscapes, nature, and florals. However, in Vencel's abstract compositions he explores geometry and structure. He creates using oils on canvas.
