Colors, even in an unconscious way, arouse emotions and sensations in all of us whenever we admire them in different artistic and non-artistic expressions. We artists therefore must be well aware that when our works are admired they can arouse disparate emotions and effects on people precisely through the chromatic harmony of our paintings. In “Traversando il Rosso” I gave… space to the shades of red as the title of the work suggests. In an age where everything seems to fade, where the hope of living a better life now seems a mere illusion, where boredom and apathy overwhelm the souls of the people unarmed by the catastrophes that are annihilating us, my will is to give who will turn their gaze to this painting inner strength, self-confidence and self-confidence and determination.

Ivana Urso is a contemporary Italian artist whose work has transcended national borders, with exhibitions in Bulgaria, Russia, and France. Her research stems from the dialogue between matter and imagination and explores space as a physical and symbolic dimension.
From previous lunar visions and circular forms, his work today evolves into the Oltre il Bianco series: no longer within the circle, but in an external space. Layered material backgrounds interact with subtle black marks and essential chromatic hints, generating subtle tensions and perceptive depth. The works invite a slow, contemplative vision, transforming white into an active field of balance, light, and form.
