About this artwork
Between Red Horizons explores the fragile boundary between human presence and landscape. A face emerges through layers of clouds, light and a burning horizon, becoming almost inseparable from the surrounding atmosphere.
The work reflects on identity, memory and transformation, suggesting a presence suspended between appearance and disappearance. Through the fusion of portrait and landscape, the image creates an intimate, dreamlike space where the… human figure becomes part of the horizon itself.

I am a visual artist who goes by the name Ava Shades. My practice encompasses fine art photography, digital art, painting, and sculpture. I have studied Applied Arts, sculpture, and painting, as well as music theory and piano at a conservatory.
My training includes the Master in Museum Management and Administration from ESNECA Business School and the Art Curator Course from Mombó Art Gallery Spain, completed with distinction.
My work has been featured in physical exhibitions at PitturiAmo in Brera (Milan) and Barcelona, as well as in video exhibitions in London, Florence, and the Museu Picasso in Barcelona. Through Artboxy, I have participated in international video exhibitions in Germany, Switzerland, Canada, Miami (USA), Dubai, and the Caribbean.
My career includes critical assessments by the Italian art critic Roberto Litta, made within the framework of the international art network PitturiAmo. I register and document my works through Safe Creative, consolidating a unique and recognizable artistic identity.
