About this artwork
This work was used oil paints, acrylic and washi paper. I have printed images of my past works and beautiful nature photographs onto the washi paper, which I have torn by hand and collaged onto the painting. Parts of my past works have become part of new pieces.
I used irises, whose flower language is hope, and Pegasus as my motif.
Since ancient times, Pegasus has been a symbol of freedom, creativity and inspiration. Its flight represents the power… of the imagination, which transcends the gravity-bound reality. I hope that from now on, everyone, including myself, will live lightly.
