About this artwork
I often paint the rooftops of Paris as an intimate and free territory. In this work, a young woman crosses the zinc bars, wearing yellow boots and a short dress flapping in the wind. She holds an antenna like a poetic spear, a modern urban explorer. The low-angle viewpoint accentuates the momentum, the march, the gentle insolence of a daring step. everything is movement, tension, and sky. This scene says something about active solitude, the call from above, the city experienced as a playground and a place of resistance. It is a discreet homage to those who move forward, standing tall, above the daily grind.
