About this artwork
I am delighted if a viewer who watches my artworks can experience a live connection to the present moment. I would like my paintings to be more than frozen moments in photographs so that they reveal hidden, subtle depths. I would like a viewer to enter my work, start seeing with the eyes of their soul, something behind the visible and feel some motion in the background, flow of life, connection to the freedom of creation and the joy that leads to…
a sacred place in the soul.

« Painting connects me to the true self. »
Baiba Redere is an exciting Latvian painter with national exposure. Long interested in art as an expression of that which is intangible, rationally inexplicable and intuitive, she composes works that seek to reveal hidden, subtle depths through a bold abstract style. Shapes, colors and light explode from each canvas, rendering Redere's artistic signature full of movement, energy and impact.
