About this artwork
“Howling Wolf – Geometry in Blue Motion”
The artwork becomes complete only in the collector’s home, where light, placement and shadows turn the owner into an active co‑creator.
My intention is to create works that invite the collector into the act of creation — the final form emerges through their decisions.
This piece explores how light interacts with layered structure: subtle reflections create rhythm and depth, revealing a visual world that continuously… evolves.
Shifts in light introduce new patterns and atmospheres, shaping the unique spatial character of the work.

Balint Bodi is a kinetic–optical painter whose hand‑constructed, layered surfaces explore the interplay of light, color, and movement. His works unite the geometric rigor of optical art with a deep emotional resonance, creating structures that shift, appear, and disappear as the viewer moves, revealing ever‑changing chromatic depths.
In 2026, Bodi’s works were selected for a curated exhibition and chosen for live presentation in Barcelona. Art advisor Monia Scarantino provided an in‑depth professional review, highlighting that “the mastery of color, the study of contrasts, and the handling of light emerging from these works are extraordinary and worthy of a professional” . She emphasized that “each piece engages with the challenge of kinetic op‑art with a precise and impressive identity” .
According to Scarantino, “these works are made special by the union of optical art’s geometric strictness and the emotion it conveys” . She also stressed the value of Bodi’s fully manual technique:
